Ok, don't know much about these as I'm more into VWs but bought this for something different to play with..
As always, time and being self employed takes over and just don't have the time to spend on this little quirky machine!
I bought the car as a Skoda 100L but after looking at various bits on the net I think its a 110LS, someone may be able to correct me on this?!
The car is still registered in Slovakia and I have the logbook needed for registering. The car is not MOTd or taxed or UK registered.
Since owning the car, ive got all the electrics working (need to fit headlightbulb still) had the engine running and sounds sweet but will need a service. Ive started cleaning the brakes up, o/s/f stripped, caliper rebuild, bearings regreased, new copper pipes and all reassembled. Everything came apart with no dramas and went back together fine so guessing the rest will be the same.
For MOT, I think it will need:
The other brakes stripping and cleaning, maybe new solid lines for piece of mind?
The fuel filler pipe replacing (strait rubber hose) and possibly the smaller pipe that feeds the engine
A new battery
A engine service wouldn't go a miss
A patch welding on each sill
I'm not an MOT man, but I do restore and rebuild classic VWs so this is just my opinion!
If you need any more info or pictures of anywhere in particular call me on 07779662968 as I don't get online very often so may not see any replies for a few days. Any extra pics can be emailed as required.
Cheers
Richie
