I'm going to regret selling this car, but I remain committed to getting from 7 cars down to 4.
This is one of the early style E28 520i with the narrow steel wheels with chrome hub caps and the 3 speed auto box. The 520 is the baby E28 with a 6 pot motor, the M20 is a silky smooth wonderthing that returns acceptable MPG.
It has factory fitted air con! God knows how much that cost as an option when new.
I have owned this car for about 18 months, I bought it at 56k miles and its now done; 80k miles. There's no history folder to support the mileage, but I'm confident the 80k is correct, a good look at the lovely blue interior, especially the drivers seat, will be good enough to convince anyone of the mileage.
I has 4 good Firestone F580 tyres, MOT until August 2014, it has just had a cam belt, oil and filter, plugs, air filter.
It is in good working order. Its a really nice E28 that's not been mucked about with.
In August 2013 I drove this car 1700 miles to the Alps and back averaging 30mpg and it did not miss a beat.
E28 prices are all over the place, if you think you might like this car but don't have £3500, give me a call. You never know what I might take.
