Thanks toe! Yes it is quick, really surprisingly quick! 140mph, built like a tank (don't see tanks being unreliable ;-)) and extremely comfy. Insurance is cheap on classic, tax is at the old fixed rate and it actually isnt that bad on fuel either. Compare this to a modern day equivalent, your bmws and your mercs infact any new car. How many do you think will still be here in 22 years going strong, granted diesel economy is good now but is it really the £20,000 difference in price good?!
Some one will get a bargain without a doubt.... I hope anyway!

Damn good price IMHO, a lot of car for the money and I'm surprised it has not sold yet.
If I was in the market for a cheap luxo barge this would be where my money would be.

Early SAAB 9000s are worth nothing just now, I just sold a similar Turbo hatchback for £150 with 4 months MOT. The post 94 models sell as people rob their engines as they have the Vauxhall bell housing spacing.

Value for money is unbelievable really! This runs a near identical engine management to the post 94 so remaps etc all super easy. So much tuning potential and all the goodies. A PROPER gentlemans cruiser.

Unbelievable that this is still here.
I loved my old 9000. Comfy, reliable, slightly quirky in a Saab way, cheap insurance and mighty quick. Not much to touch the accelaration these these can pull between 50 and 80. For £300!!??

These are utterly savage cars. I'd have bought it 10 mins after you first posted the ad if it was manual. Auto spastic has no place on a 4 pot.

Come have a test drive and see if you still feel that way! Its not slow at all is a luxury to drive, put it in d, armrests down and left foot on its rest and away you go. Speed and comfort. But thanks for the positive comment!

You're right to a point but from reading elsewhere (what made me decide to buy one) is if an auto has 200hp or more then it doesn't matter, mine was and still is the most powerful and fastest car I've ever owned, kickdown makes it blistering quick and from a standstill it's still quick, deceptive these things and I still managed 37mpg on a run, granted round town it's gonna be grim but hey, it's an country cottage with all the creature comforts lol. The only reason I got rid of mine is because my first Saab passion was ready for the road; a 900 T16s

Another endorsement for speed. I had an aero automatic but the turbo is the same on that as it would be on this so is the same power as the aero. I also tuned mine. It was pretty much untouchable... and I've had a lot of fast cars. Automatic turbo cars are v.quick due to not closing the throttle for gear changes, the boost just keeps going. Also, longer gear ratios are good for a turbo with a lot of boost.
