*I wrote this once but the internet ate it* So, I've been offered a Nikki carb from a mini for my own 1380 build. My question is, what would one of these be worth? It's in good condition internally but is a bit rusty externally. Also, would this be suitable for a large bore a-series? Thanks I daren't add a photo as that's what killed it last time!

I wouldnt think its worth much , its not really as good as a s.u . A Reece Fish on the otherhand is better than a S.u but they are rare . Only seen 1 for sale before . I would use a 1.3/4 su if your going the single carb route .

Thanks, I already have an SU on it but just wondered if this was worth it for the obscure factor.

Yeh , i think its ok but a su is better , people might want it because its different and period but for best performance id say no . so you may get interest if you sell it . If its bad on the outside no one will buy it , idoubt you could get bits for it . If it looks like it will clean up with wire wool and wd40 go for it .

I ran one for a while on a 1380 and wasn't too bad ,although they are known for being curse word poor in general really ..... Felt a much better improvement fitting a single 40dcoe although it required the cutting of bulkhead to accommodate
