It's been quite a journey for me owning this car and it has taken a lot of time and money getting it to where it is.
Comes with :
Full mot
Full tax (free anyway)
4 x original steels (ready for banding and painting)
Black door cards
Peep mirror
Box of odds and sods
A little history about the car and what's been done.
I got the car from a member off here in November 2012. It was driven 3 maybe 4 times over winter and stored mostly to keep it from the bad road conditions and in the mean time I set about tidying the interior up with some cream door cards, painting the interior bits cream and putting an original D ring steering wheel back in.
spring came around and I started to use it a little more frequently, one particular evening I took it to a local meet. On the journey home something dislodged in the handbrake and started making a racket and causing the handbrake lever to jolt. As it was causing that brake to bind I decided my only option was to snap the cable as I had no tools, so I did.
The next day I thought I'd investigate so jacked her up and got the rear left wheel off. Then I saw something everyone hates to see.... rot.
I got under the car on the left side and followed the rot right along the heater channel. Then decided I should check the drivers side, that was 10 times worse. Pretty mardy as you'd expect!
So... It was abandoned under the car port for some 3 months while I was undecided what to do. Eventually I was convinced it could be repaired.
So plans were made and I decided whilst I was going in for a pricey amount of welding I would look into getting it on air.
So it was welded up, right side heater channel, and a large amount of the floor pan behind the drivers seat.
There were also repairs to the left heater channel towards the back of the car.
The rear brakes were Rebuilt and I took it off for an mot to see what else it needed. I returned with a large list (including more welding)
Eventually that was all completed and off I went for the retest, passed.
Then it was back to Carwerks for the air, new like bug spindles and custom beam to be fitted along with a beam skid plate. A little down the road and here we are now.
My plans were to band a pair of my steels for the rear and get them painted then lower the rear by 1 spline. But needs must.
A lot of time and money has bee spent to get this back to being a good road worthy state. Don't get me wrong the car is not perfect but structurally it is good!
I'd describe the body as ratty but not rotten!
Price wise with everything as in pics and all spares etc I'd like £3350.
I am willing to listen to sensible offers and advice.
