due to some differences with my donor car
I cant work my water temp gauge .
I know the sender works by the changing resistance
with the heat hence the gauge moves .
but how the hell does that happen ??
I got the exact sender (2 pins ) and the exact same gauge
(3 pins behind it ) and got a fully charged 12v battery on the table .
any ideas what connects where so that I can get the
gauge neddle going up when I stick the sender in a
cup of boiling water
with my understanding 2 of the gauge connections are live and earth but cant figure the 3rd one ??
also checking the same sender connector pins on a car with
fully working water temp gauge ,i get 4.89V in one and 1.05V
on the other pin . can both sender wires be lives
btw ,before posting this i tried different variations
but had no luck
