This stunning cosseted example is finished in original Mercedes Benz Brilliant Silver (code 744) with Atlas Grey lower trim (code 7181). The paintwork boasts a bright metallic shine with uniform finish and linear gaps to the factory panels. Structurally excellent and showing only minor blemishes to the original paintwork, this beautiful car has been meticulously preserved. All trim, glass, lights and badges are damage free and the engine bay remains factory standard with all stickers intact. The original dealer number plates remain fitted to the vehicle. INTERIOR
The ergonomically designed interior of this example is truly remarkable. The highest quality materials and first class workmanship can be felt in every feature from the positively contoured seats trimmed in original Black Fabric (code 016) to the precison made and fully functional switchgear. All carpeting has been protected with Mercedes-Benz over mats from new. The headlining is tight and spotless. The boot area is perfect with the tool roll, spare wheel and warning triangle correctly stored, as well as the unopened first aid kit stored in the rear parcel shelf compartment. Even the original supplying dealer tax disc holder remains in the windscreen. An impeccable and well preserved interior.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The legendary four cylinder overhead camshaft Mercedes-Benz engine is renowned for uncompromising refinement and reliability, with this example the embodiment of that reputation! Displacing 1797cc, a top speed of 112mph and 0-62.5mph time of 13.3 seconds is quietly and comfortably achieved. The four speed automatic transmission with Tempomat is effortless and delivers a beautifully smooth and relaxed driving manner.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Factory standard 15” light alloys wheels with the eight-hole design are shod in quality Michelin tyres with ample tread remaining. The highly polished aluminium finish compliments the car wonderfully and only faint localised curbing scratches can be seen upon very close inspection. Dual-circuit power brakes with factory optional anti-lock (ABS) assistance (optional code 470) bring the car up to a straight and steady halt.
HISTORY FILE
Full Mercedes-Benz Main dealer and specialist service history and only 55,860 miles from new with every consecutive MOT certificate make this a very special car indeed! First registered 1st August 1993 by Mercedes-Benz Main Agent Robinsons Autostar of Norwich, the vehicle has returned to them for servicing no less than 15 times, evidenced by a full complement of stamps in the original service booklet, the most recent being in 2008 at 42,903 miles. A further four stamps from renowned Mercedes-Benz specialist Wayne Gates documents further maintenance up to June 2013 at 52,756 miles. A collection of main dealer and specialist invoices as well as an original sales brochure complete the history file for this magnificent, unmolested and cosseted survivor.
