Summer is coming!!
I have owned this car since Aug 2008, I purchased it through a local dealer who's aunt was the owner (the V5 shows 3 owners including me because the aunt had it as a new company car and then purchased it from her employer - the local department store where she was a director). The car is in lovely condition, has always been garaged by myself and previous owner - to the point where I have not taken it on salted roads and avoided rain where possible (much to my wife's annoyance!).
Body:
Lovely condition, there is no rust and no welding has ever been needed - there are a couple of marks, but nothing major. Original 'Bright Ford'
dealer number plates and window stickers all present and correct.
Engine:
All original CVH 1.6 engine, 5 speed manual - 54900 miles, the car drives very nicely indeed. New battery recently fitted.
Chassis:
Four new Kuhmo tyres fitted on recently professionally refinished alloy wheels.
Interior:
All original and in great condition - no rips, tears or stains.
Accessories:
This car has an electric roof, four electric windows, electric mirrors, heated front and rear screens which all work perfectly. Hood is in good overall condition.
MOT due end of August and tax to Jan 2015.
I don't really want to sell this car (usual story I know) and I am in no hurry to do so, but I am not using this car (I only get 300 miles a year on it really and a lot of that is the periodical runs round the villages to keep everything charged and moving) plus I will need a car later in the year that I don't care about driving on mucky roads (this Escort is too nice for that kind of use I feel).
