I've owned this bike since July last year and bought it solely to turn into a café racer.
Here is what I've done to it since owning.
Full strip down to bare engine block.
Painted engine in VHT black.
Rejetted the carbs to suit exhaust and air filters
Fitted cone filters
frame had a box welded in to relocate ignition amp and battery etc.
Had the frame powder coated chestnut brown
Heat wrapped the header pipes in black heat wrap.
classic style tail light
Cafe racer frp tail/seat section (needs cushion trimmed)
Royal Enfield pipe (single pipe from a 2-1 box)
Oil pressure gauge
Had the wheels painted black
Forks painted black
Swing arm powder coated black
Tank, seat, side panels painted custom grey.
Drop bars bought and fitted
Classic brown grips bought and fitted
Rebuilt bike back up
new ignition was bought and fitted
Brand new small gel battery.
All that is left to do is:
Connect wiring in headlight section and tidy up.
Forks need the fluid topping up.
Missing a couple frame bolts which need fitting.
The seat needs some mounting brackets making.
Rear light needs wiring in.
Basically it's almost there just needs more time really. I've spent a fair amount on this bike have new bike coming next week and really need the room now.
The bike does run and can be seen running
