When that video was taken it had the Rover V8 not the Triumph. The gearbox is a r154 linked to a Toyota Supra Turbo LSD. The stopping power is now The rear have been converted to disc

Forgot to mention that before i could convert it to rear disc and bigger front calipers and disc had to get some larger wheels This caused more issues as these were 5 stud and not 4. Adaptor. To fit the disc to front hub a new top hat. To fit the calipers to the front hub Take off the old bits. Put on the new bits. All the bracket fitted nicely with calipers sitting very central which was a first. Put on the Adaptors and the new wheels and it now looks a bit like this. Looks a bit high but it been on axle stands for a while ( long while)

Nice progress! Personally I'd be going for a bit more wall in those tyres. What's with the extra front valance bit? Looks like a splitter in the last pic but not in the one above it...

The front bit is somewhere for the intercooler to hide. The tyres are a bit on the thin side but there the one ones I had. Could go up to 45 profile and they shouldn't foul anything.

Like the project bet its going to surprise a few people, But can't help thinking the wheels are a bit pimp my ride like. Probably more suited to 4 door american.

I know what you mean about the wheels. I didn't like them to start with but they look better the longer there on the car. Now I prefer them to the old ones give the car an aggressive look, which is quite hard for a Stag. All this work has so far took over a year. Not that much to do till it gets fired up. Well there's still loads but the list get shorter, then longer much longer.

Has anyone had their car Plastidip sprayed. Mine needs a spray job, did think about the wrap but that still seems pricey. I have seen the Frost plastic spray but they say you need two 5 ltr tins as its pre-thinned to do a small car.
What the coverage like.
Did a base spray coat on one the doors looks all right, still one or two pin holes from the filler. Just think the Plasti or wrap might hide a lot of sins.

Thanks.
Its the coverage that I'm after. I know that when using normal paint it take about 1 ltr of paint mixed with thinners to do a average car. 2 ltr will cover an average car when you want to change the colour, light to dark or Vicky verse.
The plasti dip quote of 5 ltr of dip plus 5 ltr of thinners seem loads.

The thing with plastidip is you need a fair few coats if you want it to be good. Thin coat won't peel off easily if you decide to remove it. On the plus side, I've seen cars with scrapes in the plastidip that hasn't even gone through to the paint underneath (4-5 coats). It'll also depend on your colour underneath and what you're putting over the top as to how many coats you'll need to get a good finish, same as a regular paint job. I was looking at rattlecan dip the otehr day, it's retardedly expensive here for what it is. $35 a can! Need just over a can to do a bonnet properly. I estimated that I'd need 4 cans for what I want to do, and decided that it would be cheaper to just use the free paint mixing systems lying around instead and have it permanent. It's not like my daily has any resale value anyway haha.

Thanks for that but their dyno can only handle 270 bhp, the standard engine puts out 280 ish.

I quite like the alloys, but I think you should get it on air. The black paint looks like a good idea too.

Wire wheels are an acquired taste. Still waiting for a couple of oil unions to arrive before the oil system is complete. The coolant side apart form couple of clips and the heater side of things is there. Fuel just need to be tightened up, new filter put in and the return pipe connected. Its getting close for the mechanical side of things. Body work the next big thing. Just got the high build primer to hide all the small imperfections. Not to sure what to do with the big ones. er idea Hopefully, if i can get it for a decent price, the car will be plastic dipped matte black, leaving the chrome nice and shiny. Otherwise to go for matte red and paint all the chrome black. Seem so close but its still so far away
