it is smooth, very smooth considering the low compression pistons and the large injectors. At tickover its as steady as the obvious, likewise when its reved. But when pulling through 1700 rpm in any gear you get the issue, its fine going down the rev range. Either side it fine as well. Odd You can hear it at the start of this video and again at 15-16 seconds.

The car get hot fairly quick and theres no room for a bigger radiator in the front. I do have a smallheat exchanger where the hood stores, but i think i can get a a radiator in to get rid of some heat.
The area is 260mm front to back by about 1200mm from side to side and i could possible get up to 60mm hight. The rad would have to lay flat and not upright. So does anyone know of a long 260mm high radiator.
Ive seen that some of the Lotus one's might fit but are mega expensive. Anyone any ideas.

Get a custom made rad to the size you need. A proper rad specialist (Serck Motorsports) will keep it cool with the correct core.

I was driving on motorway a few weeks ago and i caught up to a Stag. Looking at it i was amazed at its rear camber. Either the driver didn't know or something has broken/moved, to be honest it didnt look that safe. I looked at mine and Ive never been happy with the rear camber, too much negative. I tried a few years ago to sort it out and it was better but still not right. Now the rear is on air suspension the camber was noticeably worse. So over the last couple of week i was looking at a way to sort it out. I had an old pair of rear hangers and made some of these; These allow the camber adjustment just by turning the bolt. This raises or lowers the the inner trailing arm lug. Buy using a pair of camber tools it can be adjusted to correct setting, which on mine was 1 1/2 +-3/4.
It now looks right and hopefully have equal tire wear.

Had to get one of these, and turn it into this, As the old one wasn't up to it and had fractured all the welds. The diff carrier also underwent a redesign a strengthen. There was a banging from the rear end when pulling off, when i removed the diff the carrier was it two parts. Not good. Hope these issues were the cause of the noise and banging when pulling off, all the welds are now bombers. Just need time to put it all back together.

Known weak spot even on normal, stag engines. Can't see the photos of the mods but worth while doing. I'm sure the banging would've been the diff carrier

Hope these photos work this time Diff carrier Rear sub frame to diff link thing. All went on and as normal its still fighting me, the prop fouled the link (bit above) even though it was fine on the trial fits. So fitted a 1.6mm space to lower the diff and deployed the die grinder to take off a small amount for extra clearance. Seems ok now. More fun tomorrow.

the car runs on a Link xtreme ecu, which is at its limits.
What the general consensus on a better ECU.

Emerald ECU's are very good. I have spoke to Dave Walker a few times but he said his K3 would do the job but not the best solution. It has limited inputs and outputs and can only do 6 injectors and 3 coils. So it would be a bit of a set back

Women the route of all evil.
Cant live with them, can't live with them.
Snakes with tits.
I think all I escaped with was the car but she still wanted that. She told the Police that it was the family car which she drove all the time and i stole it from her.
Police said they were very interested in her statement. She was really happy until they mentioned that they wanted more information as the car hadn't been insured, Taxed or MOT for 8 years.

Hope to get the car sorted before Christmas as the Rover needs work for its MOT and the bike start to play not selecting gears. It's going to be a long process of disconnecting things until i find the wire/component that causing the issue. Then the old map should work again and car back to its old self. So i can take all the PLX stuff off of the ECU i had to get a stand alone wideband controller.

As an idea to use the ECU just for the engine and not a whole bunch of other stuff. Ive looked at using the Cam output to trigger a can shield controlled by the arduino uno. Which in turn switches on and off a load of other stuff leaving the engine ecu to get on with the engine ecu stuff.
Does anyone know much of the arduino uno and can shield/sniffer electro magic malarkey trickery.

The ECU came back with a full bill of health, all the earths have been checked but the car still wouldn't run correctly. I then checked the power going to the ecu, the only thing i hadn't checked as the car ran albeit roughly.
No power but the ecu worked which is totally mental.

The car runs again shame it was raining, not much fun with the roof down. Didnt push it kept very low on the boost (8 psi) and revs below 4,500 .

Has anyone any info on how the LINK G4 (xtreme) ecu transmits CAN data. Ive just got round to trying to use a CAN BUS sniffer but the data its receiving isnt in the format i was expecting.
I have the ecu correctly set up to send via CAN and it all being sent/received. I saw that some of the CAN data which is sent you have to take 50 off the value to get the real figure, ie temp. However, looking at the CAN data there wasn't any number or Binary code (8 bit 00011011 for 27 decimal) that could have been viable.
