In 1974 when I was little, my dad bought an Audi 100. At the time, no one had them, all our neighbours had Vauxhall Victors and Ford Granadas so it was a very unusual car. This was the first in a long line of Audis for us,right through the 70's and 80's, all of which I loved. Well, cos of this fact I want an early one. Never looked on e-bay cos its always been too modern for me, but just decided the time has come. What do we know about them? Will I find one? are they expensive? what are parts like? I want one like this vvv

To get a standard A40 this low, you'd have to dig a hole to put it in

I use it a lot and I find that babelfish.altavista.com/tr is a great help as you can input the URL and it will translate the whole web page into English!

The Audi Coupe Club of Great Britiain (oooo!) supports the saloons - I was a member (some would say I still am) while I owned my 100GL and found them very friendly and enthusiastic. I'm sure they could point you at any saloons they know of for sale. Click for ACCGB contact detailsLovely cars - quite pokey for a 1.9. This was my old shed...

There was a 1 owner from new 1974 model in the Autotrader last month!
The guy wanted £950 and it was taxed and MOT'd.

I had one of those; i have got mixed emotions about them; my dad used to have dozens of them when i was a kid, and i really loved them. In 1995 i bought a 1974 Gl, which was a) nice to look at and b) a nightmare to drive.... sooo soft , noisy engine, strange auto box. Parts availability ? Mad... especially the 1974 ones, which were built only 1 year.... they had three major facelifts and i don't know how much different suspensions and brakes. Models after 1975 share a lot of the mechanical parts from the later Audi 100, but have the worst bodywork you can imagine. I would look for a 69-72 model, with the gear stick at the steering column, buy the best car you can buy and look out for a perfect shell including all the trim and the interior. They can't be too expensive anyway....
