Selling my MK2 GTI Golf in Jade Green Metallic
I have owned this car for 2 years, she has never given me any trouble, never broken down etc. Only selling as I'm looking to get a E30 in the near future.
Power Steering, MFA Trip Computer, Sunroof (NO LEAKS), Early spec set back wing mirrors, quarter panel side lights, 7 slat grill, K-Jetronic engine, Mk1 cross interior with mk1 steering wheel etc.
The First owner was a women called B.Boloe in 1987, purchased from White Tree Garage in Bristol. As you can see in the service history the car has always stayed relatively local.
Current MOT Runs out in March and only has one advisory which was a oil leak. However I will add a full 12 months on for close to asking price.
The milage on the last MOT was 91613 so very few miles in the last year.
No Tax
Genuine BBS Alloys with 4 very good tread Marangoni tyres
HPI Clear, no colour changes, no damage etc. I have a print out which anyone can see.
The only non original bits on this car is the suspension, been lowered on springs by a previous owner.
Also the following work was done by the previous owner to get her up to scratch for the last MOT and because it was his daily driver. New Radiator, New Fuel Pump, Rear Brake callipers, Rocker cover gasket, CV Boots, Steering rack boots, New exhaust back box.
Could do with some new red piping on the door trims
Body
The body is in excellent condition overall, last Feb I had both sills and rear arches sprayed by a professional body shop. After the work I decided to keep the plastic arch covers off, they look to good to cover up! I didn't get them sprayed because they were rusted, it was because there was a few scrapes and the sills had been painted with black under-seal whilst being in storage.
There are a couple of imperfections as expected with a car this old. Couple of small door dings, by no means anything to worry about.
Interior
The interior of this Golf is excellent! There is no wear at all apart from the drivers seat where you get in and out. (see picture)
The trip computer works perfectly, shows MPG, Oil Temp, Outside Temp, Av MPH etc.
The car radio is a Pioneer head unit which cost me £180 from Halfords last christmas in the sale. Doubles as a Parrot Bluetooth Handsfree.
All the door cards are in very good condition
Engine / Service
Car has done just over 93000 Miles
Engine wise she's absolutely perfect, the latest Cambelt & Service was done under 400 Miles ago.
There is a gap in the service history however the car has been off the road for quite a while since 2004 so bare this in mind.
Between 2004-2006 and 2007-2013 she was in dry storage with a VW enthusiast. She's only done 13,000 Miles in the last 11 years!
