But will a capri roof rack be waaaaay too big for an imp?
Been offered an old skool rack from a mk1 Capri, but am assuming that the gutters will be a lot further apart than on the imp?!

Most are 'universal' for old guttered cars - the legs can be slid towards the centre so you should be able to get it on your imp. Anyone else remember the old Thelwell illustration of an imp with about 4 tonnes of luggage on the roof about to come unstuck? No? Just me then.  |

Well I won it! (it was an ebay auction, I hadn't been offered it at all, I was just being schnidy  ) Clickety click Think it may need some fettling, but for 2 quid......!! I suspect however that all of a sudden they will decide that they perhaps wanted a bit more than £2, and it will miraculously no longer be for sale! I even messaged them beforehand as I have no feedback....! I'm feeling a bit of a "cal look" imp coming on now ya know........ roof rack, boot rack, shiny chrome wheels, bit of rake, bumper overriders............ I reckon it could be fun |

I reckon it could be fun Thats where i'm thinking about comming from with the merc, taking the look from one scene and applying it to a different car. Hope the Rack sale works out and you can get it to fit. If not let me know I might buy it off ya. |

Like MB said, taking the look from one scene and applying it to another! I love beetles, and have always wanted to own one, but simply can't afford to. well the look works on notch backs which it think look pretty similar to an imp, its bound to work mate. crack on

A 'swamp cooler' is basically an air conditioning unit that you fill with cold water and when you travel the air goes through it and gets cooled by the water and blows in through the gap in the window...
