Please note: these wheels are now sold and on their way to their new owner. Many thanks for the interest. I know I'm going to regret doing this, but something has come up for sale and I need to raise some money pretty sharpish, so I'm putting some of my much loved stuff up for sale. I'll be kicking myself once they go, but sometimes we have to make these sacrifices. This is a set of four Appliance TurboVec alloys in 5x4.75" or 5x120 PCD (Jag/Chevy/Olds/Pontiac/BMW/GMC etc...) but they really aren't difficult to get adapted to *any* PCD. I've had this done on other alloys and it's a great way to get a set of these to fit any car - I can put any buyer in touch with the company that converted my Hayashi's (TWICE!) to different PCD's. These wheels are rare. And sought after. If you know about them, you will know the sort of money that these can fetch? These aren't the Wolfrace/100+/Western copies, these are the REAL DEAL...the original and best TurboVec. I have been sitting on these for years waiting for the right car to put them on, but as said, something has come up so I guess I'll never get the chance now? They are 7x14" with (IIRC) zero offset. They're certainly very, very dishy and will look sensational on pretty much anything from the 60's through to the early 80's. I tried one on my Mk3 Escort and it looked amazing! I ran some 6" ones on my Bedford Rascal and most of you will know how that looked. These are much deeper than the 6" version, that extra 1" of dishiness makes a world of difference. They look a bit rough, but they are all very straight and only one or two have the most minor of kerb rash which could easily be sorted. A quick rub down and paint them all silver or black for a simple and easy finish (black looks mega hard on these wheels!) or take a day to rub them down, polish them up and paint the inserts. A day is all it will take, I did my Rascal set (that weren't much better than this) in a camping field. I did my Hayashi's (just as complicated to polish/mask and paint) in a day. Some hard graft over one day and these will look a million dollars! Genuine Appliance branding, as I've said, these are the real deal! Lovely quality wheels. Proof that they are the more desirable 7" version. The back, showing the solid mounting face (ideal for PCD conversions) TurboVec copies sell for around £250-£350. I am looking for £350 ono for these, they are definitely worth more than that but I just want to get them sold to raise the money. You can collect from Bristol but I am happy to try and send them through the RR Pony Express or package them up and send them via courier (£25) Thanks for looking.

They're lovely, remind me of the type of wheels on a toy car. Thanks Dude. Talking of toy cars, here is antother set that I sold, offered up to the Imp that they will be going on: Here is a pair of 7's on the back of my Rascal (6's on the front) Now for the money shot (thank to Will Carter for sending me this photo from his archives) - how these wheels look in all black: PLEASE someone do this!

I read in another thread how you were going to keep these wheels and how much you loved them. So I'm kind of excited to see what could have wrenched these beauties from your hands GLWTS

It depends on what fitment you're looking for? If going 4 stud, it'll be about £220 (Max). That's to have the existing holes properly plugged and machined back flush (both sides) for any holes that clash with the new PCD. Then have the new PCD holes (to your spec) drilled/machined into the wheels. Then a set of 'cover plates' are machined from solid bar to cover the whole inner centre section of the wheel which covers over everything but makes the wheel look totally original. It's really hard to explain...I'll try and find some photos of the Hayashi's I had done. If you're painting them, it'd probably be a fair bit cheaper because the cover plates won't need to be made which will bring the cost down a lot. Probably more like £120 for the plug & redrill. The cover plates are really only needed if you're going for the original polished finish on the centres and spokes? 5 stud is slightly easier because no holes overlap....but budget somewhere between £120 and £220 depending on what you go for. I'd probably go the all black route having done a number of polished wheels in the past, so would be looking at the much cheaper option. These wheels in a PCD of 4x114.3 or 4x100 are worth LOTS of money! You'll more than recoup your outlay...and then some.

Here are some example shots from my Hayashi's: Original PCD of 4x120 (hardly anything runs this fitment) were properly plugged with alloy insters and both front and rear faces machined back. New PCD of 4x108 *and* 4x100 were machined into the faces. Cover plates machined from solid alloy bar, with correct PCD and centre bore machined in. A set were made in 4x100 and another set in 4x108 - designed to cover up the slightly different finish of the plugs (billet alloy in cast alloy wheels) and also cover the 'other' PCD so the wheels just look like 4 stud alloys. Cover plates fitted, they look totally original and you woulnd't believe they were a totally different PCD originally, nor that they have another PCD hiding under the plates. Centre cap fitted, they really look the part. ^^Those shots^^ show the 4x100 cover plates, here are the wheels fitted with the 4x108 cover plates: Fitted to my Escort. See if you can tell they've had all this machining done? The machining is absolutely top quality and I will certainly be getting more wheels adapted in this way in the future. These cost more than the price I mentioned above, but then there were two lots of new bolt holes machined and two complete sets of cover plates. To have a set of wheels done like this with one set of bolt holes and one set of cover plates would be £220 max (possibly £200?) As said, without the cover plates you'll be looking at a figure more like £120. The best option for painting....

Can't believe you're letting these go, must be something special you're getting the money together for!
I have something hidden under a tarp that these would look amazing on, infact they'd make the car... Going to have a really hard think.
Good luck with the sale while I'm trying to decide whether to control my wheel addiction or not! Sure they won't be around for long.

Hi Andy, I know what you mean, I really, truly don't want to sell them but what I am hoping to buy should be more than special enough to warrant the sacrifice? (all will be revealed if I manage to get it!) Just let me know if you decided you want them? I can easily get them to Worcester via Pony Express, possibly Evesham? More than anything, I'm just curious to know what you have possibly planned for them if you do buy them?

Just let me know if you decided you want them Will do Fingers and toes crossed you get it then! (properly intrigued to see what it is) As for what I have in mind, lets just say I have some 4x100 to 5x120 adapters ready and waiting, and I have a need for some big box arches in my life But a couple of Capri's to be finished first, hence the not just biting your arm off!

Roy, if you do sell the wheels, you know where to find me. Good luck too with the sale of your wheels. Willow&Mikey, I actually reckon they'd look amazing on your XR2i (if done in all black) - I fitted one to the front of my Escort and it looked incredible! I should try and find the photo? Still here people...
