Additional Information:
Looking to part with my Scirocco just can't get into the car going to look for a cheap boring diesel instead! Last owner did a lot of work
She is a white 89' scala injection on a 'G' plate
It has Tax till the end of July and the MOT has till September.
Engine:
New Water pump, Thermostat, coolant flushed and renewed (1000 miles ago)
Timing belt & tensioner, v-belt and pulley (1500 miles ago)
Head gasket, stem seals, Hydraulic tappets, Rocker seals (1500 miles ago)
Plugs, distributer cap, rotar arm, ignition leads, ignition coil ( 500 miles ago)
New bosch injectors (500 miles ago)
New fuel filter, oil filter, oil change (250 miles ago)
Pipercross induction air box (100 miles ago) Sounds amazing! (Still have original air box and K&N filter)
Exhaust:
The previous owner fitted new from manifold back (9,000 miles ago)
I replaced the manifold seals when I did the head (1500 miles ago)
I fitted a stainless power flow back box (3,000 miles ago) sounds great! (Still have as new original back section)
Brakes:
All lines and flexi's renewed for last MOT ( 1500 miles ago)
New Rear drums, shoes and wheel cylinders, wheel bearings (5,000 miles ago)
Front brakes uprated with 256mm vented discs and bigger Vauxhall Callipers. Stops well good now!
Front wheel bearings renewed (5,000 miles ago)
New front shocks (just the inserts done 5,000 miles ago)
Body:
I have changed the rear lights for the smoked ones (still have the originals)
Swapped over the wheels for a set of TSW Venoms. They are 15" and have new tyres 195/50's, done maybe 2000 miles? They make a big difference to the handling over the original Scala's. I still have the originals with new Verdstein tyres fitted.
The paintwork is decent. There are a few little stone chips and marks, but nothing I have worried over. There is a little bit of rust bubbling on the passenger door, just above the moulding at the bottom.
Interior:
She is in excellent condition for her age! Seats are great. There is a little bit of the driver side bolster wear, but no rips anywhere. There are a couple of little nicks in the head lining, but nothing to worry about. I have replaced the stereo head unit with a decent Sony one. All the speakers have been upgraded to the Alpine 6x9's, all nicely in the original housings. The sunroof needs some attention. I did look at it a while back and established it was the wind deflector lifter arms that were the issue, but have not revisited it. I have bought a pair of lifter arms in perfect condition to switch out, but that would be a job for the new owner. There is a new seal on the roof and to does not leak.
Additional things:
I have replaced the drivers hand brake cable within the last couple of months.
I have replaced both the throttle and clutch cables in the last couple of weeks. I also fitted a bulkhead strengthening plate
When I did the clutch cable. The cable hadn't pulled through but after reading all the cases where they have I did this as a precautionary measure.
