This distinguished Jaguar XJ Sport is finished in classic British Racing Green which has a deep lustrous shine and is complimented by shoulder and waist coachlines to accentuate the unmistakable elegant lines of the XJ8. Amazingly pampered and constantly garaged from new this exterior is flawless except for a few stone chips to the lower front bumper. All the trim, chrome and jewel effect lenses are perfect. All the panels are straight and the glass is smear free. Still sporting the Jaguar supplied number plates and rear window sticker. This car really demonstrates grace and opulence at every angle.
INTERIOR
A sumptuous, luxurious and perfect interior is thoroughly commensurate with the incredibly low mileage this car has covered. The spotless upholstery is trimmed in premium Oatmeal material with leather outers and the occupants are cosseted in sports supportive seats. The precision-fit facia has three separate large gauges which offer great clarity and distinction surrounded in Birdseye Maple veneer and Warm Charcoal. The drivers bolster has minor viens. The driver has no shortage of equipment to assist pleasurable journeys and safety features all of which work perfectly. The deep pile carpeting retains its factory fresh fullness having been protected by Jaguar supplied carpet mats from new. A dealer supplied tax disc holder is supplied but remains unused. Sheer automotive indulgence with classic pedigree.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
The AJ-V8 3.2 all aluminium engine is designed and manufactured by Jaguar and has a 32-valve, quad overhead cam enough to produce 240bhp and 316Nm of torque. 0-60 is despatched in 8.1 seconds and a top speed of 140mph is possible. Impeccable maintenance including the essential replacing of all timing chains, guides and tensioners is documented in the amazing history file. The electronically controlled, sealed-for-life five-speed automatic transmission is seemless and offers switchable Normal or Sport modes.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The beautiful 16in Dimple cast alloy wheels are in remarkable condition with only two faintest scratch marks on the passenger front wheel visible only upon the utmost minute scrutiny. All wheels are shod in Pirelli P6000 225/60/ZR16 tyres with the spare remaining unused. The vacuum assisted four wheel disc brakes ventilated front and rear with ABS braking system and YAW control offers safe, rapid stopping power.
HISTORY FILE
This Jaguar XJ8 3.2 (X308 model) has only had three custodians from new. It was registered on the 13th August 1998 and been in the care of the previous owner since 2003. Himself a Jaguar Enthusiast’ Club Member he purchased the vehicle from Jaguar Main Dealers, H.A Fox for £12,885. The Jaguar Approved advert and vehicle invoice is still neatly filed in the A4 folder with all other invoices and MOT certificates. Maintained by the same Dealer up to 46,831 miles whereby servicing transferred to David Marks Garages, specialist Jaguar Aftersales Centre. The last invoice from them totals £2,842.91 which includes drive belt, water pump and a reconditioned air conditioning compressor amongst regular service items. A wonderful, cherished car destined for an appreciative enthusiast.
All handbooks, spare keys and remotes on the dealer leather key fob are included. MOT March 2015, HPI Clear and Approved Used Car Check Certificate.
