Make: Peugeot
Model: 309 GLD 5 Door in gold.1991 (H)Phase 2.
Engine: 1905 cc XUD diesel, non turbo. 50-60mpg.
Gearbox: 5 speed Be3.
ONLY 85k genuine miles
Non power steering.
This is my second 309 diesel. Same colour and everything as the last one. I bought her to commute from Manchester to Nottingham and she does this daily. Well over 100 miles to a tenner!
Tax and tested 'till the end of march.
Starts on the button and hasn't let me down in my short ownership. I'm moving back in to VW's (AGAIN) so don't need this one.
ALL electrics work. Even the rear de-mist and wiper. No leaks from the rear lights, sunroof (fully functional) etc. These are common on 309's.
MOT's to prove the genuine mileage of 85k. These engines run to 300k+ easy with regular servicing. Not much service history as the PO serviced himself. Just changed the timing belt kit, water pump and fresh coolant. Oil and filter done just before I bought it. Ready to take the miles.
KNOWN FAULTS: Needs a new front tyre for next MOT due to age.
Will probably need new top mounts/TCA's for next MOT. Slight knocking over heavy bumps in the road.
Occasional slight hesitation on accelleration. Like I said in daily use with no issues. No air leaks, pump is all good etc. Its the Lucas pump btw.
All in all a great communter. The odd mark but cleans up well for her age. A genuine GTI spoiler has been fitted not my cup of tea but I'm sure you could remove and chuck on ebay for an easy 50 quid! Interior is in good cond with no rips/tears. No parcel shelf (What 309 has one these days!)
Doesn't come with a stereo but speakers can be installed in both the front doors and rear quarters in these.
50-60mpg easillllyy and it's a retro. Buy this and you will save the cost of the car on fuel after just a few weeks! Regular visits to the petrol stations are a thing of the past in this one.
Price is reflective of the tax and test and the small things that may need doing for an MOT. I paid the asking price for the car and have spent £300+ on it. If it wasn't for storage issues she'd stay with me.
Open to reasonable offers as I don't want to let it run out of T&T. It's got over a month left so is still drive away.
Thanks.
