Top content. I'm looking forward to seeing these colours and graphics appear when the nostalgia kicks in properly, the world needs more turquoise and pink cars.

Great pics, its a shame, but there doesn't seem to be many people making hot rod style cars like that with big back wheels and roof chops.

happy days, the reversing contest involved the driver being blindfolded and given directions which way to go by the passenger into various boxes as quickly as possible.all with spectators around the course with no safety barriers!I actually won a braun electric shaver driving my v8 pop (yay)!!

Cool snaps Strangely enough I was just reading a Street Machine mag, with that blown & chopped Anglia on the front cover.

There's a good few there that I remember seeing in SM and CC back in the day. That chopped Anglia certainly stands out in my memory.

1989 Peugeot 205. You know, the one that was parked in a ditch on the campsite at RRG'17... the glass is always full. but the ratio of air to water may vary.

Thanks for sharing these. I reckon this must have been '91 or '92 as the photos don't really tally with the shots I've got from the '93 NSRA summer nats there, which was my first car show in my own car.

This thread has made me want to get the Street Machine line up at The Gathering sorted even more ... but ... it was hard going previously, lots of cars had been rebuilt or lost or just no one knew where the people were any more

Love the radically chopped Granada wagon! The blue 105E is currently being restored I am told. Gary Layton's Anglia is long gone. The shell went to Julian at Pop Parts Plus, the rest was broken up.

This thread has made me want to get the Street Machine line up at The Gathering sorted even more ... You're welcome The first Street Machine I ever bought was the one with the Coco Connection Camaro on the cover. I still have it, and every other copy I bought too. And now I've bought a scanner (primarily to show you good people these pics), I 'spose I could post up any requests people have . . . .

This thread has made me want to get the Street Machine line up at The Gathering sorted even more ... but ... it was hard going previously, lots of cars had been rebuilt or lost or just no one knew where the people were any more I'm guessing you've looked at the history archive on rods n sods? That's about the most comprehensive list of what's still around and what isn't.
