Here is mein Amazon. I hope someone on here can answer some questions that have drawn a blank at Amazon Cars and on the VOC forum. As paulH \ 222S knows, I made an expensive mistake buying some P1800S alloys that were the wrong PCD. I know now that my PCD is 5 x 114.3mm, the same as a lot of Ford US \ Mopar \ big J Tin I believe. What I need to know is the offset and backspacing, as I want a set of these: These are what I've set my heart on, and I will not settle for the 'put some Minilites on it' option that the entire VOC seem to suggest. I know someone on here has a white 222S wagon with TT type 2s on, I just want to know some figures so I can order my 15" Ds. The wheel specialist I found online (Northants Tyres) does Type Ds in 4.5" (wagon \ 123GT width) or 6" width. What would people on here suggest I go for? Rob Henchoz warned against anything beyond a 185 profile tyre, ideally something like 185 / 65? Beyond that, a 20mm drop, a Simonz zorst and gasflowed head / K cam awaits...... Oh yeah, and I know it looks blue on the photo. It isn't.

Are you thinking of this one? It's owner is a friend of forum member Bryn. You should be able to work out roughly the size/offset you need with a tape measure and your car. This page is one of the most useful for finding the measurements you need: www.stocktonwheel.com/orderform.htm

My usual reference for all things wheel-related has the stock ET down as 25, which seems quite low to me but there you go. I would certainly go with the 6" rather than the 4.5". I would only be considering the latter if it was super-slammed and had barely any room in the front arches. A 185 goes on 6" fine.

I believe its easy to put the hubs from a late p1800 on, that way the wheels will be the same stud pattern as 240s/740s/940s e.t.c and will give you a much wider selection of wheels. You could put later FWD wheels on with spacers too.

rmad,
That is the one I'm thinking of yes, I may PM bryn to see if he has any figures to hand.
Odin, is that ET in mm? +25 or -25? Thanks for looking anyways.
Lankytim, I looked into swapping the hubs and it's more complicated than it first seemed. I really want these type Ds for my car, and a PCD common to lots of American cars means I stand a better chance of getting a set off the shelf that'll fit. Personally I reckon it'll look great, a lot of people on the VOC threw up their hands and said they were blingy. The type 2s on Bryn's friends wagon are a bit, but the type Ds aren't IMHO.

Hey there, those are 7x17in or maybe even 7.5 as I recall. I can mail Adam and find out... They're just Mustang fitment, whatever offset that is. We got one from Northants tyres, tried it then ordered them up from the States, I think they were about $550 plus shipping.
Forget all you've been told about diddy wheels and high profile tyres, that thing handles great and runs around on 205s, 55s and 40s with no arch work.
And it looks the law too... ;D

Finally, something I can help with!..ish..
Like you I have a hating for minilites (have had since my mini days!...i.e last month!). I looked into banding 15" steel, re-rimming some...a whole load of possibilities.. and then in a moment of weakness the other night (2am after 4 kronenburgs) I bought some 17 x 7" polished AR torq thrust 2's off usa ebay! basically I found out that to get the bolt pattern I want with the width, my only option was to get 0mm offset ( which is the same as 4" backspacing!)... ive done some measurements and the rims will fit, but a big of jiggery pokery is needed!
offsets of around 30mm (i don't work too accurately...i buy then make fit!) will see you fine.. I would have thought 6" would be ideal, with around a mid 30ish offset?
if ime right the northants costs are ÂŁ150 + vat?? usa ebay is (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/4-American-Racing-15x7-TORQ-THRUST-D-CAMARO-IN-STOCK_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ34209QQihZ002QQitemZ120107767456QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW) ÂŁ340 ish for 4... + 100 postage + import costs... could work out cheaper??
it is definately cheaper for me!
if you fancy waiting a week you can find out any lessons ive learnt buying these!
let me know if that floats your boat.....

Perhaps there's a reason why not but can't you just take one of the stock steels of your car and measure it? Its easy enough to measure the back space to the rim by placing something straight across the back rim edge and measuring straight up from the centre face. Then deduct half the rim width and you'll have your offset. If you've got a spare you wont even need to take one off the car! 5 spokes always look cool on Amazons and I'm envious of their owners for having a car with off the shelf wheels available

Seth, I've been meaning to do that but my car is on axle stands at a friend's ATM and I don't know what he's done with the wheels.
There is however a spare in the boot which I'll measure up whilst getting covered in curse word from the curse word, curse word tyres the last owner put on......

My Amazon is on 205/50r15's at the front and 225/50r15's at the back without rubbing or archwork. Can't help you with the offset though because of the Jaguar axle and rims.
