Here is the very reluctant sale of my carlton but due to having a new house to contend with the purchase of a car ive been after for years and the fact ive more sentimental cars which i cannot get rid of this ones got to go
its in a honest very respectable condition for one of these its very reliable very comfy and a absolute pleasure to drive you can do 200 miles and get out feeling fresh unlike the wifes car where you need physio .
I bought the car late last year with the intention of doing a rolling project then paint it etc but reality has kicked in and some stuff has to go.
THE GOOD
MOT until 23rd december
TAX end of may
4 nearly new tyres
new cambelt and service
been wax oiled underneath before i put it on the road
alloys in excellent condition
interior good
gsi spoiler
fully working towbar with twin electrics . the car tows very well i had to recover my father from leeds last week no probs whatsoever
even silly things like the headlight washers work all the electrics work fine
not as bad as you would imagine on fuel
THE NOT SO GOOD
The car is twenty one years old it has blemishes and the odd scrape
as photographed the rear doors have gone crispy in the bottom corner repairable but want to be honest
its had new rear wheel arches at some point colour match not good but acceptable
has had welding on the sills but the rest of the car is very solid
slight leak into the boot in heavy rain i think its a small crack in o/s/r light which i noticed when cleaning it
interior could do with a good clean as a few marks on the carpets from previous owner
o/s/r sill trim missing and covers need new clips ideally
couple of bits of trim loose inside
all in all a clean car which can be used straight away. its a old car so sold as seen you are more than welcome to come and view test drive .
