Evening all. I've been reading this forum for years now, I think I became a regular browser after penski (*n) relentlessly pimped RR on OcUK forums where I generally reside, and more recently I've found myself wanting to reply to more and more threads instead of reading as OcUK doesn't really have enough people on my "Wavelength"! Why Retro Rides? Well, this is my daily driver, my Civic "Type-R" which is UKDM TYTE and doesn't even have VTEC (yo!) Pssst.... I don't really think it's a Type-R. They never came in this particular shade of green for a start Thought I'd best put that in as sometimes folk don't seem to realise the badges are strictly tongue in cheek I do take some pride in my rocker cover though As for my other er..... projects (!) I will try and whack some pics up later. In the mean time, happy to be on board!

This is supershed number 2. Solid but tatty Toyota Supra 3.0 Turbo Manual with...... no you won't guess.... I'm about to shock you here.... Head gasket failure! Body is scruffy but zero structural rot other than crusty arches Engine is a sad place to be. I just need a 14mm hex bit to get the spark plug valley removed so the head can come off to be checked for crack/warping but for some reasone nowhere round here seems to do anything bigger than 12mm

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I've a bloody good mind to leave the Supra "as is", blotches of primer and what not everywhere. Ah yes, forgot about my other wagon. This one is stuck in Wales, I need a towhitch and trailer to get it back to Leicestershire! + + +
