Up for sale is my Cinquecento Sporting which I bought last summer as a project but haven't had much time to do anything with. I've got too many other projects on the go, and a friend's just offered me another car which I can't refuse so this has to go.
The sunroof was leaking, the previous owner said the original glass panel got broken so he fitted a replacement but I'm not convinced it was for a Cinquecento. I've sealed it as best I can with silicone, and it seems to have kept the worst of the water out. The previous owner also managed to snap the gear lever somehow, he had it welded back together but since then it hasn't been possible to select third gear. If you hold the lever up into place and let the clutch up it starts to bite then slips out of gear, so I don't think there's anything wrong with the box itself. It also needs a CV joint gaiter fitted on the front, but this comes with the car.
Otherwise it's pretty decent. There's a small rust hole in the rear inner wheelarch, I don't think it'll be an MOT failure but I'll get a picture of it tomorrow along with more pictures of the car generally. It may need a tyre or two as they're starting to crack with age. It starts, runs and drives, but does seem to idle a bit high. Interior is scruffy, but it's a cheap car and nearly 20 years old!
The best thing I can recommend is if you're interested, come and have a look, I'm happy to pass on my number in a message on here. There is no tax or MOT on this car, so it will have to be towed away.
