Stunning! A rare car in Croatia I imagine. Those floors looked to be in damn good condition! Is it staying standard or have you any modifications planned?

Thanks It's prety rare car in Croatia. They is just few of them still on the road. Bodywork was in good shape. There was just few rust places which i needed to repair. For now I plan to keep it original without modifications. Later, after I finish it maybe I install som new wheels, and two strombergs carbs, but I don't wan't to go far from original state.

That's a very tidy Avenger you've got there. Wish mine was as solid as that. Keep us all up to date with the project, can't wait to see it when it's finished.

WOW!! That's great work repairing and recovering. Cracked dashboards such a common problem on both Chrysler/Talbot Sunbeams and Hillman/Chrysler/Talbot Avengers. I don't think I've owned an Avenger or a Sunbeam that hasn't had a cracked dash top.
Keep up the excellent work.

Thats a nice looking Avenger. Great color also I have only seen one Avenger in Croatia before, and that's a dark blue located in Jablanac where the ferry goes to Otok Rab. It's been there for years, and it's still in traffic, at least it was last summer

Awesome work. Would you mind describing a bit what you did with the dash (in addition to the pics) i have a dash repair in my future. I used PU (polyurethane) foam for crack filling. You can find this foam in all stores with construction materials (its used for door window and styrofoam montage). Just be careful because its very sticky, and expandable. When foam was dry I removed ecxess material and smoothed it with sandpaper. Pink layer is wrapping material for PC motherboards and graphic cards I work in computer service so I have a lot of this material. I used it because when I removed all bad material from console it had sharp edges and unevenness so with this material I got smooth and even surface which is soft on touch. You can find similar material in construction stores (It's used for laminate flooring, and it goes under the laminate). I glued this material on console with glue that can resist higher temperatures because console is under the window and can be vwrry hot (I used Patex glue and I think it is for teperatures up ti 80 C) Vinyl is from two peaces. I managed to strech bottom part without cutting it. Top part was bigger problem and I needed to slice vinyl on left and right rounded part and insert new smal triangle of vinyl to fill the space. (I tought it will be verry vissible, but it looks OK). Vinyl is glued with same glue I never done this before so I spend enough material for two consoles, and I allmost gave up because I tought it will look bad so I'm glad you liked it I hope I helped you.
