1.9 Non-turbo diesel hatchback, Saphir Bleu, registration K179 RLN, 131,000 miles.
MOT: Mid-June
Tax: end of July
Situated in Bristol/Redditch depending on timing.
I'll go through the bad points first... I've had enough of trying and failing to fix an air leak in to the fuel system, so it'll stall every 5-10 mins unless you're on full throttle for most of the time (i.e. it's fine storming along A/B roads, but bad in traffic). It might be an easy fix that I've missed, or it might be something more serious to do with Diesely magic, but that's the risk you take - I'm just fed up of it. I'm fairly certain it needs a new accumulator sphere as the tick time is down to 5-6 seconds, there are a couple of small oil leaks and a small LHM leak from somewhere around the accumulator sphere, it leaks in rain water from the top of the windscreen, and the sun-roof switch can be a bit temperamental.
Apart from that it's basically spot on, I've spent the past 6 months making it tidy, the interior is immaculate, the outside is decent with a few very small dings/scrapes, it's 99.9% rust free, it'll do 50mpg quite easily, and run on bio/veg if you are so inclined, as it has the Bosch pump.
The hubcaps on it are "custom" painted (by me) TZD caps with dark grey centre panels. The roof and spoiler have been rattle canned (again by me, quite well though) as they had bad lacquer peel when I got the car. It had a clutch change about 10,000 miles ago, the rear window is only 6 months old (so rear demister works perfectly), I retrofitted the "one touch" driver's window switch from an old 16V, it's got a set of tailored floor mats that haven't seen many miles, I could go on. I've done loads of stuff to it to make it really neat and tidy which you can read about here - retrorides.proboards.com/thread/152418/1993-citroen-bx-19txd
Unfortunately I've reached my bandwith limit on photobucket so the photos don't appear in the thread and I can't embed them here, but here's a link to my account with all the photos on it, in reverse order to chart the progress I made with the car - s192.photobucket.com/user/supra4l/library/The%20BX?sort=2&page=1
The car comes with a few spares and some Thule roof bars. I'll be keeping the stereo and sub, but leaving in the speakers (only cheap jobbies but they still sound better than the originals).
I'll clean the car up and take some up to date pictures tomorrow and try to add them on here.
Oh and I'm still using the thing daily, so it is perfectly capable of long distance driving, you just need to have your wits about you to make sure it doesn't stall in a dangerous place as it takes 15-20 secs to start up again.
Thought I'd also mention the car has a set of 5 month/6,000 mile old Yokohama tyres on, with plenty of tread left.
Any questions, please feel free to ask/PM me.
