Hi all,
Up for Sale is my Land Rover Series III 109' Ex-MoD.
I have not had it long but I cannot justify having it... [The Girlfriend has said it's her or the car, you get my drift...]
So here is the Crucial Details on this fine piece of machinery...[The Land Rover, Not the Girlfriend...sadly?]
MoT-November 2014
Tax-May 2014
Engine-2.25 Petrol 24 Volt Wading kit.
Gearbox- 4-Speed Manual
Brakes- Drums Servo Assisted. [New]
It's a Land Rover Series III 2.25 Petrol LWB 109" 24 Volt Ex-MoD.
The Engine is a standard military 2.25 Petrol with the Wading Kit and 24 Volt Alternator, twin switchable under seat petrol tanks with working seperate fuel guages!
It also has twin side lockers [which can be locked] for carrying around your sandwhiches or Jerry cans and a brand new rear mount for a Hi-Lift Jack. [Even got a CB Aerial!]
The Heater has been replaced by a two speed DAF unit, It is unvbelievebly quick at heating up the cab... Proper cozy!
The Chassis is mint throughout, Red oxided and painted black, completely solid, the Springs are Parabolic Replacements and the shocks are Pro-Comp so she rides well!
It left the Army in 2001 and has been with the previous owner ever since. I bought it as I need a work vehicle to use alongside my Mini but the Mrs hates it...
The most important question I can invisage is 'Does the roof beacon work?' So Yes, the roof beacon does work, it is run off a Nifty little 12v inverter in the cab, along with anything else you want for that matter...
Grab a piece of motoring history, there is room for 6 people! [Including the driver] and coincidently there are around 6 bullet holes [That I can find] in the car...It has a NATO hitch for towing with 12 pin electrics [24 volt]
It is ready to drive away, work or play, everything works fine and it is great fun, the new owner will not be disappointed!
The all important pictures are Here!
£2250ono [RetroRides Discount] PX welcome. [After something I can use for work, Bedford Rascal, Daihatsu Hijet, Subaru Sumo, Suzuki SJ410]
