basically iv missed bits on the capri. a bit of 240 shows its below the 1/2 coat of high build, below the 5/6 coat of barcoat, in the old paint. whats the best thing to do? id guess; sand with 100grit filler 100/240/400/600grit the whole area. undercoat 600 paint 1200 farcella i realise I'm going to lose the effect of barcoat in said area. ta.

Not sure what you mean but if you've gone through the barcoat anywhere then you'll have to barcoat that area again to stop the primer hitting any of the original paint causing a reaction/crazing. You can get around this by turning the presure up quite high and spraying the primer on with very little or no thinners in at all (as it's the thinners that cause the reaction, not the primer/paint) but it's a lot harder to wet flat as it'll be like a badgers ar5e instaed of laying smooth. Couple of things to note: Colour. If your car isn't perfectly straight then black will show every little dent and imperfection (and I mean every) due to it reflecting the light better than lighter colours. White, on the other hand, will hide a lot more. Material: 2K paint, if you can use it, will get you a factory finish straight from the gun. Just be careful with it and use the correct equipement needed. Cellulose will need lots of work flatting and polishing. (believe me, I've been there many times and it's a long laborious task )
