The headlights on my Smart are poor despite lenses and reflectors being perfect. I have thought about higher power bulbs but am now thinking a pair of spot or driving lights could be an alternative - most of my driving is down lanes.
There is space in the "grill" area and wiring already in place for 2" fog lights which are regarded as a waste of time. I can easily make adapters that fit into the fog light mounts so spot / driving lights can be fitted proud of the bodywork. Feed can be taken from either dip or main beam of headlights to operate a relay so any spots are only on with main beam.
So I can sort out mounting and wiring but am struggling to find some suitable lights !
I've got a rear mounting pair of fog lights so know such are made (no makers name !) but can't find rear mounting spot or driving lights.
Any suggestions where I can try ?
Thanks.

BTW I've got a genuine, not repo, Lucas WFT576 that I've had since brand new - and am shocked at how expensive even they are even secondhand / repo ! I've had it on the back of numnerous cars as a reversing light but now think it should be in a glass cabinet !
