1978 VW Golf Series 1, £3500ono or swap, Bristol

Testing the water really.

This is a 1978 Golf GLS [the Golf with everything!]

Its a 1.5 4 speed which has only covered 55,800 miles from new!

All original blue velour interior with blue carpets and door cards with what I believe to be original rubber mats.

Currently 1 months tax and MOT til June

2 previous owners on log book

This is a series 1 model of the mk1 golf. IE it has smaller rear light panel, small chrome bumpers, silver 70's dash with round "Madonna boobs" speedo and rev counter.
This is in original condition

In the 80s the original owner had a second wing mirror put on and a stereo installed by VW.

Sadly the stereo isn't working but I havnt looked into it.

It turns on and there are lights and the tuner work but no sound.

Oil change 15w40

Oil filter @ 55,000

Air filter

Fuel filter

4 x NGK spark plugs

Points and condenser

Distributer cap + rotary arm

HT leads

Anti freeze flush and change

Thermostat

Fan switch

Cambelt kit and tensioner

Front tyres

Front brake discs and pads

Rear shoes cleaned and adjusted

Wheel bearing re greased and adjusted

The fuel filler neck has been changed

Every bulb on car changed and replaced at same time

VW battery fitted

3 new bosh wipers

Timing set up and CO2 emissions are showing as factory setting.

Price wise I would be looking for £3500. Would take in something PX and cash my way.
