Hi guys,
Looking to sell on my MR2 in order to pick up a diesel.
Basics:
1994 Gen 3 180bhp Spec
126k Miles (6200miles per year on average)
Dark Emerald Green
Full Leather
Turbo spec wheels
1mth tax
4/5mths MOT (will have to check this to be sure)
K&N Panel Filter
Otherwise completely original
No penetrated rust - see below.
Premium Toyota 9 Speaker System (I will likely be taking the aftermarket cd player out of the car but will leave the adaptor in place which is pretty rare as it needs to be specific to the premium system).
I've had the car about 7 months, i wanted a unmolested example in either dark green or black and was lucky to find this fairly local. This was great over the summer, had the roof off as much as i could and coming from a MX5 i was glad that the T-Top is great to keep wind noise down. Talking about the roof, in the time ive had it i've had a few drops of rain on the passenger base bolster under very heavy rain like what we've had over Christmas otherwise it has been fine.
It's been my daily driver to and from work, approx 40miles a day and returns 38-40mpg. The engine is great, power is very linear right up to red line and the car really fly's, feels every bit of its 180bhp.
Bad Points:
Front bumper has its fair share of paint chips and would need to be sprayed to be mint.
Rear bumpers paint is fine however the laquer has lifted slightly by the boot lid, cant notice 10 paces away.
Rear off side arch has a couple very small paint bubbles, wont show up in normal photos so will get a close up.
* 18/01 Unfortunately we had bad flooding yesterday evening and the car sat in probably a foot water puddle overnight. Drove the car out this morning no problem but i noticed the carpet in the passenger side was wet where it had drawn through the bottom of the car. I've spent today wet vac'ing and cleaning the car and it looks great. Since its sat in water there is a very faint rubbing noise coming from the disks, this looks to be surface rust so will probably be gone by tomorrow with driving however ive reduced the price again to suit in case its a wheel bearing.
Will likely need a new clutch this year, when i bought the car i noticed the biting point was higher than i am used to and in the time i have owned it the clutch has slipped two or three times when cold. So although it isnt a problem its probably something that is likely to need attention by next winter. Replacing a clutch on these (non-turbo's) are actually very simple, if you can get the car up in the air. I got a price of a clutch kit from my local motor factors, about £50-60 otherwise Rogue Motorsport (MR2 Specialist) quoted me £320 to supply and fit.
Location: Woking or Dorking, Surrey.
Photos below as of today 18th Jan.
Price: 700 firm. its a great car and will be a great lil project for someone that wants a minter or just to enjoy for the up coming spring/summer.
There is a mountain of service history, cambelt was done in late 2010 by Toyota. Theres receipts from Toyota for everything, even supplying and fitting a bulb!
I have also sourced a UK front number plate bracket to go back on it as i am never a fan of the square plates. I also have the leather bags for the roof panels and the plastic panels which fix in on the underside should you not want the light in, bags and panels in mint condition.
Any questions please send me a private message or text on o7five4five3eight8five5seven
Thanks
