I've got an electric fan that was used to push air through the radiator it wasn't the main fan but was mounted infront of the aircon unit aswell. I want to use this to pull air through the rad so if i reverse it's driection by swapping to power and earth will it be ok to use?

depending on the blade design you might have a much less air mass flow if you do that (assuming the motor can be reversed anyway).
I suggest you reverse the blade on the motor. i.e.. fix it to the motor front to back. this allows you to use the motor as it is and also have the blade running in its optimal direction....

Depends on the fan some can be reversed and some cant. The motors themselves can generally be reversed (although some should only run one way) but a lot of impellers are only designed to push air or pull air not both. Sorry I cant be of much help

If swapping the wires doen't work try swapping the poles by rotating where the brushes hit the commutator 180 degrees. If you know what I mean. I had to do this on an old Series 1 Land Rover heater fan when I replaced the fan blade with one from a computer fan which turned the other way.
