A lot of the older Vauxhalls have the external type. Think mk3 cav , mk2 astra and calibre.But be careful as the tank end is bigger (I think 12mm) where the outlet is 8mm. Ive got a brand new one if you need one.

80/90s digifant multipoint fuel inj. cars have high pressure external fuel pumps. golf ones are pretty reasonable price wise

I've been reading up and to provide enough fuel pressure for fitting the turbo on my beetle I'm going to have to fit a much better pump .
I thinking of using a high volume pump to fill a swerl pot and then a high pressure pump to supply the carb via a turbo pressure sense regulator ..
So I'm hunting for a pump . . Pm sent

Porsche 924 and Ford Escort XR3is/RS Turbos etc. spring to mind. Basicallly, many cars which came fitted with the K-Jetronic injection system may well have external fuel pumps (The Volvo setup was a little wierd on the 740 from memory. Holley also sell an external high pressure fuel pump to be used with with their EFI kits.

The Volvo 240 had an in-tank lift pump and external high pressure mounted underneath the car.

I used the pump from a vaux calibra 2.08v in my mini (as I was running the engine from it  ) and used a facet to feed the swirlpot  |

Any V6 K jet sierra or Mk3/4 Inj ghia orion/Xr3i/Rs turbo. Have seen the external fuel pumps off 190 merc's and xjs jags used as well.

The Lucas PI system, as used by Triumph and Cosworth, uses an external 105psi (atleast) pump.
