i cant seem to set the timing successfully on the 2.8 granada - dizzy keeps advancing to the next pot when under load i.e. when being driven at anything over tick over
added a new rotor arm and cap - but made no difference
any ideas?

Did these have Fiber timing gear, or was that the Essex?

Did these have Fiber timing gear, or was that the Essex? both had fiber gear but if it was that it would just stop running pull the dizzy it sounds like it may have sheared the roll pin that holds the distributor drive or it could be the advance mech is sticking either way the dizzy will need to be pulled out to check |
