I Bought a Rover P4 100 over the summer on impulse. Now I have to build a garage at my new gaff to house it, ooops.
It'll be wooden construction, but I only have a footprint of 20'x12' to play with and although it's bigger than a standard single car garage it's still not ideal. (The rover is over 14' long)
what size garages have you got? and do you have any tips on handy space saving storage solutions?
cheers!

Depending on what your building keep the ceiling height as low as you can, so you can have as much loft space, insulate it well so you can work all through the winter.
Wish I could build a new garage mine just fits the car in, no Space to work on it

My garage is about the same size just a bit longer - 25'. To be honest it's big enough if you keep it tidy but if you have clutter lying around it gets difficult. I've got a few racks / shelving that cost about £30 and are great for keeping things tidy. Plenty of shelves on walls and under work bench if you build one and as said above utilise roof space if you can. If your organised you'll have enough space

I've had Dexion racking, pallet racking, industrial storage boxes and office cupboards but now use 4 draw filing cabinets (got 6 in a row !) as they have proved to be the best storage for "odd & sods" with Dexion for large items.

Experience has shown me that carp will expand to fill the available space, but I am somewhat of a squirrel. Shadow boards are good for tool storage. Benches are a problem as I end up shoving stuff underneath then forget its there or cant find it. Ttfn Glenn
