I have been trying to free my back box from my exhaust to reuse it when I replace the middle section but the bolts are stuck. Am I best grinding them off? I so does any one around South Manchester have a angle grinder I can borrow tomorrow?

:)Is the nut captive? Anyway, undo the bolt with a socket....if it snaps, [which is fairly likely] just replace the nut and bolt with new ones. If the nut is captive get it off with a grinder once the bolt has snapped. The new nut doesn't need to be captive, just means you'll need 2 spanners to do up the new nut and bolt.

The heads have started to sheer off also, butI will try what you suggest in the morning.
Have managed to get an angle grinder too so should be good.
Thanks for the help Dave

:)No probs..depending on the size of the nut and bolt you might want to use washers.
