I've been down to stay with my gran in Dorset this last week.
They seem to have all the retro's there! MK4 Escorts are everywhere and I saw a very tidy A reg MK3 but didn't get a pic!
There are just loads of general cars on G'ish plates that are still used daily and are the norm. Up here, an L reg is a rare sight! Anyway, here are my pics in no particular order...
XR3i Cabrio?
Sunny Coupe isnt it?
B GT
MK2 Fiesta. Notice the bit of metal stuck over the front of the bonnet where the original had obviously disintergrated!
Hard as Nails
When did you last see one of these?
Tidy looking Mini
Granada. Now, is this a mk2?
this has been here for as long as I can remember. I think its used. i've never taken a closer look
this hasnt moved in at least a year
I forgot to change the camera settings on this one, but its a really tastey saxo. its lowered, and just cleaned.
And, who remembers garages like these? Built in the 70s, every house had a garage in a communal area...course, they are so small you cant even get a car in! but cool eh?
this was parked up there, not seen it before....
daily 205
and another... this yard used to be full of old tat...like loads of it... I used to love peering over the wall as a child, but its all gone now
this appeared to be a daily. I don't know how though. there was rust all along under each window and it looked generally ropey!
Quattro Coupe...been there a few years now...it does move though
taken from the car window through a bush .. so not so good. Angila, MG B, and mk1 Escort though
The following were taken on the motorway yesterday...with the window up and just on auto mode...not bad eh?
Sierra ...
Astra Merit
2CV!
I also saw what I believe were two Starions. And an old Orion holding his own in the outside lane!
Anyway, my advice to people is, if you want retros - go to Dorset!
