OK lets assume there is no suitable autobox for the K Series so what about the Zetec then ? Anyone know if the box from, say, a late model Granada will fit ?
Thanks.

I think the idea was more using the Mazda engine and box as an alternative to a zetec altogether. Well that's what I was meaning anyway, not sure about Ian.

Any C3 ford auto box will fit I've got 1970's vintage C3 with Mondeo Zetec Starter ring sping plate thinge, you will have to make a spacer about 5mm thick and a new bracket for the flywheel sensor and do something for the speed sensor, i'm using a modifired type 9 right angle converter for the speedo drive, oh and a spacer for the starter but the rest is easy. All left to do is setup something for the kickdown cable.
