Well, with a heavy heart I might have to sell this, its a 1959 Triumph Herald, rare being a 948cc and so early.
It was subject to a full restoration in 1999/2000 from memory, and has alot of good solid history and has been looked after by all its owners since restoration.
The underside is very clean, having had minimal work done to it since restoration except regular undersealing and rust protection.
Its a 948cc engine with single downdraught carb and 4 speed box, its certainly not the fastest but could easily swap in a 1300 and fit a longer diff (I have a 1300 w/ twin carbs and gearbox that can be sold with the car for extra)
Car is Tax and MOT EXEMPT. Have letter from triumph owners club to state build date etc.
Car is fitted with banded rear steels, plan was to band the fronts to match but upto the new owner if they decide to. If it doesnt sell i'll be taking them off and getting the fronts banded to match and will just keep it for a bit longer
Car is fitted with a 1" rear lowering block and GAZ coilovers on the front, original suspension included.
The interior is very clean, seats been re-done at some point, has rear pocket covers that need re-covering to match front door-cards but never bothered me as the paint inside is nice and clean so doesnt look bare without them fitted.
Loads of spares included inc rare NOS oil filters, headgasket kit, full engine seal kit, spare leaf spring and loads of trim and badges etc.
Stupidly cheap to insure, I'm 24 and its £78 a year for me, and free other than insurance so its stupidly cheap motoring fun.
Bad points
Pass door doesnt open from inside, replacement rod included
Window chrome/rubber trims not fitted, included
Small bubbling patch on roof at top.
Small bubbling on removable rear bumper trim part (below rear quarter)
Doors want re-aligning
Small oil leak from engine, never bothered me as means its got oil in it!
Gearbox is like stirring porridge, but once you get the finesse of driving it its lovely to drive.
£3000 ONO - Have seen 948's go for alot more recently needing more work, this just needs tidying up a little bit and it'll be back to show condition.
Rear window no longer stickered up.
