The week after the Pendine VHRA event, we went down to Hampshire to visit relatives.
Spotted these on the way down and wondered if there was something old car-wise going on.
Anyway, the spare room wasn't ready, and we had Thomas Cook vouchers to use by the end of September, so we stayed in a hotel. when we got there late Friday afternoon we realised that yes, there was something going on old car-wise.
The Goodwood Revival!
There was loads of cool stuff around the hotel grounds.
1937 Bentley 6 1/2 litre. This sounded awesome.
So on the Saturday, we headed into Fareham for the Bygone Fareham show in the town centre.
Morris 8 series E tourer was quite a rare thing. Production was halted due to Adolf taking his holidays without prior booking.
I know there's a lot of love here for these Standards. This was completely unrestored.
I'd never seen one of these in the metal before. They're a lot smaller than you'd think.
Interceptor had an interesting badge on the grille
SP? Whassat then?
Oh yes, Sixpack. On a 440. Now that's what you call a bigblock!
The inevitable Minor pics

Not sure if this was a genuine works car, the owner wasn't anywhere near to ask.
There were a lot of Minis there, but this one stood out.
So on the Sunday, we went to Beaulieu, well it'd be rude not to!
There was a Top Gear display there.
