fuggin hell, some great stuff there. I spy an Sunbeam Talbot in the 2nd photo.
The blue van is an Austim, BMC or Morris JU series. That looks like an ex-RAF airfield ambulance based on a "work bus". Wow. I thought the just were prerrt well extinct now anyway! How far gone is it?
I'm also deffo into FG Leylands too!
My guess for the WTF home made truck is thats its a Ford A series under there. Proportions look like it.

Hajsaftar- phone is some Sony Ericson thing. AK- the 'rust-coloured' one in the 2nd pic is a Sunbeam Talbot? Its not all there unfortunately, a shame, though what is there might be able to be 'saved'. The blue JU/ambulance van I can have a proper look over if your interested, and get some comprehensive pics. FG's.. probably one of the most awkward trucks in the world to drive IMO- doubling the clutch whilst almost reaching behind you to tackle the gear-stick and at the same time trying to steer the jolly pain in the backside.. still got love for them though, when they work. edit: Plenty of FG bits available if anyone needs any

That's an early BMC JU250...AFAIK they were launched in '67 and discontinued in the mid-70's when the Sherpa was introduced to replace the J4. Most of them were 1622cc B-series powered, and they rotted like curse word!!!!
Ford D-series is actually in remarkably good condition cab-wise. Rotted cabs, especially at the sides behind the doors, accounted for the early demise of most D-series, that one's very straight and hopefully will be saved. They are lovely old tubs to drive, and feel way more modern than they look.
The 'Thing' I'm sure I remember seeing for sale somewhere. If it's the one I think it is, it's actually a modified 400 Sherpa chassis and running gear, I definitely spy a Land Rover bulkhead/windscreen and Range Rover bonnet on there!!

That JU is sooooooooo fuggin cool. I've wanted one of those since I was a child - there was one in a derelict front garden across the road from where I grew up (ex Post Office Telecommunications).
It looks more like an ex Prison van to me judging by the screen behind the driver/passenger - may be wrong.
The chances of finding a non-rotted one are close to nil these days, sadly...

Wow, great stuff Aux! Puts the field of rubbish I found to shame, though that also contains a JU - I described it as having a face like a carp and someone knew what model I meant.

Wasnt the ford D series pretty much a ford cargo but with and older cab and slightly different wheels/brakes e.t.c? I'm sure the engines were nearly identical.

I have fond memories of a '66 D reg Ford D series tipper a mate of my dad had back in the day. As for the JU, well, it has RAF blue paint, the sign externsion on the cab, roundels have been removed from the sides and rear and you can just read where the lettering for the AMBULANCE has been on it. I'd love to rescue that one. RV8 and slam. 'tis just wishful thinking though.
