Ooo I recognise that!
It had a Nissan badge with it but I could never figure out exactly what it was off. Have a chat to Ratlook Reliant and CR500DOM, they seemed to know a bit more about it. From what I could make out it was mounted up on its side as standard but it looks like it would be ok to run it vertical as long as you had the right amount of oil in it.
Worth a chat to Nigel at Uk Blowers, helpful if a little expensive: 01564 703976 or email ukblowers@aol.com

What I remember is it is designed to be run at 1.6:1 and no higher than 10,000rpm

i used to own that, it came from a chap who had it on an open manta A, which had been supercharged by some company (cant remember the name) when it was new, he then whacked it on some other manta with a different engine (sorry for the vagueness). it had a nissan sticker on it when i got it, but it fell off. it looks simular to the ones used on toyotas, but its not, although it may be the same make (i.e. the same bearings and oil maybe?) another port of call is the nissan super turbo, its not the same, but simular if i remember correctly. somewhere i have a video of it in action on the manta, ill let you know if i find it! had a quick search and all i came up with was this rather interesting looking electric supercharger. wonder if it works? if your going to all that trouble why not use a belt?

Rings some bells. Isn't there an SC10 on the Nissan micra march turbo and the SC12 was its bigger brother on the 4AGE or 4AGZE engine... I can't remember 100%
