I finally purchased a new car on Friday It's not exactly what I was expecting to buy, as the criteria was as follows: Small, economical Diesel - that's cheap to insure / tax / run However, I ended up buying one of these: It's a 1996 (P) Audi A4 1.8T Sport (150bhp) in kingfisher blue (as above). Lots of fun - just not exactly Retro...

I like long walks, especially when they're taken by people I don't like.

Oh... umm... yeah... OK. Whack some decent r1mZ on it & a mighty whack with the stick. That's about all I can say at the moment. *runs of to buy a 'with condolences' card* (^ ;D just joking! ;D ^) To be fair a TDi A4 Avant is high on the shopping list for the next SprogDiesel vehicle.

I like the shape, just lower it, banded steels, touch of negative camber...

Don't forget I've still got the 944 for Retro-ness - the A4 is purely for commuting.

I like it, not sure about the colour (then again, I can't talk my new car is gold!)
Is it going to stay standard?

I'm commuting 500 miles a week at the moment, so I wanted something comfy and reliable to drive. That looks like a... new car Hang your head in shame I wouldn't call an 11 year old car new...would you?

I have REMO leads and software to remap the ECU for 190bhp and a serial port switch for switching between the tuned and standard settings, I think it needs some more "credit" from REMO to be used though.
