Just returned from picking up this    Those pics are from awhile ago and its a bit rougher now but that doesnt matter as all I want it for is this  Late spec senator 12V engine with big valve head. Donor engine (and ecu,loom etc) for my monza for healthy power gains. 260 mile round trip to pick it up and its in payment for a future monza inner wing repair. Drives spot on but there are a few bits that have to go back to the owner so its just a breaker. |

Excellent - that worked out nicely I knew it would when i suggested it  Gold top lumps 24V poke with no timing chain issues |

When you swap the lump Richard keep the manifold on the engine the senny downpipes should mate up with the monza mids What you really need to find is a nice road and track cam to improve the top end breathing Oh and don't throw the flywheel and clutch assy away from the senny - got a home for that ;D |

Blimey, is that the super top fast type senator ? nope - it's the 12V version not the 24V so it's 24 bhp down - However that actually can be overcome as Rich knows and with a few "less is more" the bhp can knock on the door of 200 The last 12V engines were strangled with catalytic converters and to keep the bhp the same they added big valves and bumped the compression ratio as well as added a later and better management system. Junk the cats, K&N panel filter in the airbox - breathes freely One day we'll get a chip done for em I remember the adverts for those, black and white with an Enya soundtrack ! I have that advert on video somewhere!!! How much do they go for these days !!? Pennies for rough ones - minters can fetch £2000 (or close to it) |
