You should have got an email thanking you for registering. Please note that registering doesn't guarantee a space. Registration helps me to plan demand and therefore how we manage the volume of cars expected in the city centre. Nearer the time, everybody who has registered will get an email with details of the event and where to head for.

It'll be humorous and will probably feature some Brittas and Red Dwarf too. Tickets are free but limited. Go to www.eventsforce.net/motofest to book. If you have registered interest in coming, then you'll get an email later today will instructions to get to static show area in the city centre and full info on the event schedule. The event schedule will also go up on the website too, including a downloadable version of the Motofest pocket guide and map. It was a great event overall I think, with the few 'non car' people I spoke with thinking it was a great event as well with plenty on offer, especially for the inaugural event.
Bring on next year where it can be bigger and better. It was great to catch up with a few familiar faces. I saw MrSpeedy's car but I did not seem to get to meet him!
My photos shall be up soon (the few I took!) but it will probably be a few days time until they grace this forum.

I am in recovery mode, having managing the static display areas 730am-630pm both days. At a first go at running a static & live action car event in a working city centre, i think it was a success.
Plenty of things to think about for next year....do things differently etc. Hopefully we'll have a decent budget for next year which will enable us to do more stuff. Cov Motofest is organised by 8 people, all with full time jobs BTW.

Cheers Matt Matt, I attended yesterday with the TVR Car Club, we had a great day - particularly the spirited laps of the ring road  We liked our location by Bella Italia, but it was a shame that we were on our own, would have been good if there had been a couple of other clubs in the same area as well. I think you came to sort things out with Steve Guest first thing? I'm sure you ended doing a few miles yesterday! I think that the cars went down well and we fully appreciate the amount of effort that must have gone into the organisation. I'm sure the official channels of the TVR Car Club will be in touch but from the lads that were there yesterday count us in again for next year! It was a great event and well worth all the effort. I met ChasR there yesterday and he was having a good day, I'm sure there will have been other Retroriders there too! Cheers, Andy M (Cerbsp6) |

yup, I spoke with Steve Guest yesterday and this morning and much obliged to the TVR club for them coming along. Its hard to judge car numbers at firdt events so I had the bond street carpark (behind your pitch) lined up for classic parking. we had about 150 cars in the broadgate location so didn't have to use the Bond street carpark in the end. Otherwise your area would have been pretty busy with pedestrians. having said that, it was a handy location so you could come and go from the ring road.
I'll be keeping in touch with Steve about TVR club involvement in CovMotofest 2015, for static display and ring road action and ultimately TVR Challenge stuff etc

Totally enjoyable day. Next year I'll be making a weekend of it, cos there was stuff we just couldn't get round to see. Maybe next time a blast round the ring road eh  ? lol |
