I'm new here, I suppose I ought to show you what I drive;
A 1994 Porsche 968 Sport (that's a Clubsport with the rear seats put back in and some 'leccy bits), I bought it from a Porsche specialist earlier this year. Previous owner was a surgeon and it is utterly immaculate. It is surprisingly quick and handles every bit as well as all the roadtests tell you. 6 speed manual, 3 litre 4 pot variocam engine and pop-up headlights. I am smitten.
Since I've had it I have done two sessions on the Grand Prix circuit at the 'ring and an OPL day at Rockingham. The handbrake cable has recently snapped but, apart from that, it has been perfect. It is a curse word to keep clean though.
I also own this; A very scabby 1990 MK1 MX-5 I bought for a banger rally back in 2006 with the intention of killing it. It is now (minus the curse word stickers but plus a lot more rust) my daily driver and occasional trackslag. I have never changed the oil, the tyres are ancient chinese remoulds and it is the very epitome of bangernomics.
I also own this, a 1985 Sinclair C5, currently awaiting restoration. It is (I think) a rare twin battery model. I keep telling myself that Senna once had one and that Lotus did the chassis but it's no good, I can't hide the fact that it was built in a washing machine factory in Merthyr Tydfil and is about as cool as a verucca sock. It is curse word and I know it.
I've also got an ordinary MPV for family bus duties and occasionally get to blag some interesting press fleet stuff. I'm also on the hunt for something 70's and wedgy but am struggling for garage space
