Loving it, same colour as mine...quick question, that chrome around the the rear hatch? Not original on a y reg? Is it a case of stripping off the black paint or is it an earlier lid?

Thanks baggabones. It's a spoilerless hatch that's had the black paint removed to reveal the chrome underneath. Someone had tried before me and the chrome on the corners is a little scuffed up close but if you take your time and use lots of patience and nitromors the black eventually comes away to reveal the chrome underneath.

Little annoying thing fixed this afternoon whilst I was thinking of it - the power & direction of the washer jets. Pulled off all the plastic tube and cleaned it with a long pipe-cleaner (actually for cleaning Camelback tubes), then pulled the tubes out of the washer bottle and found the little filter end covered in a glooby mass of old screen wash fluid attempting a reinactment of The Thing - dealt with that and what a difference! Fast flowing washer jet spray action. Also tightened down the arial mount. Simple fix -remove rubber bung with small pointy thing just used to redirected the washer sprays - and tighten the star screw. Done. Previously in another episode this week GoldieHawn got a new rear NS wheel bearings and seals. Smoother & quieter roly poly. Oh - on the previous weekend a big gathering of Porsche 924's took place at Donnington race track - Porsche 924 & Turbo35 meet

So while GoldieHawn is still mine I've kept up the loving.
Connected the wing mirror wiring which had been cut by a PO. Passenger side works perfectly but drivers doesn't. Pants, oh we'll at least I can reach it from the drivers seat for manual adjustment - it's not as if you need to adjust the mirror any more than once eh.
Then it was time to renew the gearbox oil. Why? I'd bought the oil and was planning to do it anyway and the sun was shining.
I may have said it before but I really like this car.
