Hmm, I can see where you were going with it, but car graf paint is REALLY hard to pull off I reckon. Unless it's done really well, with carefully considered lines, colours etc., 9 times out of 10 it'll look shat.

it doesn't matter if it's a Morris Marina or a Toyota Celica - it's what you do with it that counts

I've seen it look really good, there was a team at BugJam a couple of years back painting vans (and charging £150 or summat!) and they were really good. I've also seen it look really appalingly bad, like you've been raided by spraycan-weilding schoolkids on a 'community art' project. Hard to say how yours was going to turn out as the photo is WIP (he says, sitting on the fence!) but I think for it to turn out good, you have to appreciate and work with the lines of the car. The 'good' ones I saw were more pictoral, with large expanses of colour and then more of a 'tag' feel to the text, instead of just being one large word. This however would only likely work on a large flat-sided vehicle. If you want the 'urban' look then how about a few choice stencils? I know we've been there before with the crazy octopus but there's always the possibility of fewer legs than eight! (these are all from www.duncancumming.co.uk/index.cfm which has some great photos on of all types of graffitti.....)

Many years ago I changed my driving style to cope with rising fuel prices; I have now reached the stage where I am contemplating keeping my eyes shut in order to lower wind resistance.

I really like how you obviously love your cars, and you don't let the fact that RWD escorts are scene taxed like a curse word put you off doing your thing and making it your car. Top man and top work ;D P.S .... At least theres loadsa paint on it to protect it
