Hmm, I've seen locking dust caps, and I've seen dice dust caps... but never locking dice dust caps! I've had 3 sets stolen. Dice, skulls and even just chrome ones. In the end I just gave up and fitted sh*tty plastic ones

:)I've never heard of locking dustcaps TBH.
Several times though I've had to change valves on cars with metal dustcaps because they'd rusted on to the thread of the valve assembly. It's bloody annoying when all you want to do is pump the tyre up!

Ed,
You can definitely get them, I had a set on my Clubman after some little dears relieved it of it's chrome dustcaps on the 6x12s!
I got them from Motormania (I know, I know), they were standard hex type chrome jobbies. They 'lock' via a small grub screw on the side once you've tightened them on. However, said little dears managed to still steal just one of them after fitting, FFS! fortunately, they came in a set of five, and they stayed on after that. I think they were about ÂŁ7 or so.
For extra security, I always tighten hex type metal dust caps with a socket, they're usually 10 or 11mm, just make sure you keep a spare socket in the car's toolkit! ;D

just an idea, but could you drill and tap one of the spots on the Dice to allow the use of a wee grub screw (to lock it on...)

^^^^^ What he said! My last Sapphire came with a set, hex ones with a Ford logo on the top. No idea where he got them, though there is a Motormania near where he lived.

thanks guys, ive seen the locking type but i wanted a slight rod look, skulls...dice...etc.
i might go gold anodized locking ones that ive seen...kind of a compromise i guess... gloss black steels with gold caps might look cool?

like your thinking let me see if I can borrow my mates ickle drill set.... If you do that, just make sure you drill a suitable spot... I.e. not one in the top that's going to depress the valve and let the tyre down! ;D

I considered doing that, but if some little bstard tries to nick em, the turning might wreck the thread of the valve I think I'm gonna get another set of posh dust caps, but only put them on for shows (not that stuff doesn't get nicked at shows....)

i got a set of locking dust caps from charlie browns, they're very similar to how locking wheel nuts work, the out side spins and the centre stays still, u get a little key that fits into the top for removal, they were about 12 quid but they doo look cool

All sounds like a right load of hassle for a fuggin valve cap.
Just bung a black placca one on!
Failing that, I suggest constructing some kind of elaborate 'thermoelectric valve cap heating element system' that will scorch the fingers of any scousers who try to carry out their good work at your next car show.

does anyone find they have a problem with dust in their valves?
I only ask as many of the heaps I have owned for the last couple of decades have had one or more missing and never really had a propblem. The problem comes when you have dust caps and some little sod takes them off, puts a small stone in and screws them back on so you end up with a flat tyre.
We used to do that to foreign made cars when I was about 7. A kind of pre-juvenile "buy British" consumer terrorism. When I say "we used to do this" I mean it was our "thing" for a couple of weeks one summer.
