	Sorry, non retro advice needed here. I've got a Fiat Ducato work van which i don't need any more. was going to get rid of it but its quite handy having a van around. So thought about doing a few bits to it. was going to lower it a bit. and want to put alloys on. the wheel options for these vans are all naff. so i thought about getting some 17" car alloys on it. Firstly, which cars have the same PCD as my van? Secondly, they say that i need stronger wheels due to the extra weight, i wont be carrying any heavy loads in the van so can i get away with car wheels. Sorry bout the non retroness of this post but i know that one of you lot will know what to do.

	Apparently the Ducato SWB has 5 x 118 PCD, and the LWB Ducato has 5 x 130. But there's every poss' that a SWB could have had heavy duty wheels and hubs fitted at the factory, so sorry... You'll have to get your ruler out I'm not sure about weight limits T.B.H, but you do see alot of Vdub vans with 'normal' big alloys on.

	Mine's a 1999 SWB. As its probably 5 x 118 PCD does anyone know what cars they match?

	5x118...not common. 5x130...Porsche! ;D I ran car wheels on my T25, but I figured that it wasn't that much different than an S-class weight-wise (I used Mercedes rims). Obviously the loads are applied in different ways - but if you're not stupid about it then I'd say you'll be OK.

	In fact a bit of Googling reveals that 5x118 is pretty much limited to Trafics and Vivaros (and Ducatos, obviously). There is some references to Twingos being 5x118, but I'm inclined to think that's a misprint. I've had no experience of wobble bolts, but could they make up the 2mm to 5x120 BMW/Opel?

I might ask in my local wheel shop tomorrow. Rochford tyres can be quite helpful depending on who you talk to and what kind of a day he's had.
