What do you guys think of a 2.8inj with a well fitted rover v8 in it,bodywise it's very good,blue over gray,half leather interior,showing 90k on the clock. was offered it at reasonable money today,was gonna take a punt on it?  |

Always been a popular swap, and quite a few kits were available. normally a good conversion if things are done right.

Everything is done very well in fairness.looks factory nice edelbrock filter cover and few nice extras,bodywork is very sharp and half leather is very good,it has lovely penta style deep dish rims only downside is there's one missing and a very similar wheel fitted in place

Rust is non existent its actually dust on the quarter I rubbed around the panel with a rag,the bit that looks like blow is clean while the rest is dusty,the arches look original

I love pentas in many applications. Never thought they'd look so right on a Capri either. Good find It looks like it's only got Pentas (Compomotive MS, I reckon) on the back...the front ones appear to be 7.5" RS four-spokes...probably genuine ones judging by how long they look to have been on the car. |

I bought it anyway,it's good on the rust front,I had it on the ramp,fact it was dry stored helped and lots of waxoil on it,
I wouldn't bother changing the engine it's going well,if it ain't broke.....don't fix it.
